Testing Standards

Offering two-hour fire protection for both integrity and insulation, Actifoam has been tested in accordance with the most stringent fire tests.  And with the addition of a 10mm NOFIRNO layer, the system also becomes gas and watertight. 

1.      Lloyds Register witnessed – 2.5 Bar pressure test

2.   TNO Laboratory – Age Testing to 50 years

3.    EN1366-3 European Fire Test – 2 hour fire protection

4.    NES711 - Low Smoke Index

5.    NES713 - Low Toxicity Index

6.    ISO4589-3 - High Temperature Index

7.    ISO4589-2 - High Oxygen Index

ACTIFOAM multi cable penetrations have been successfully subjected to a two-hour test in a 150 mm thick wall under the supervision of Lloyd's Register.

ACTIFOAM rubber has also successfully passed a two-hour test for fire resistant penetrations for bus-bar systems.

This test – again carried out under Lloyd's Register supervision – was performed on a range of bus-bar types in a 150 mm thick floor.

An official fire test with a wide assortment of bus-bar systems was carried out at the Materials Testing Institute (MPA) at Braunschweig, Germany.
