Rise Rapid Applications
Multi pipe
The RISE system can be used for multi metallic and plastic pipe penetrations. Only a minimum of distance between the sleeve and the ducted pipes is required to guarantee fire safety.
Assembly of RISE multi-pipe penetrations is a simple job. A limited number of components are used for the sealing of the conduit. Rubber strips cut from rubber sheets are applied for wrapping fire-safe material around the ducted pipes. Only two types of filler sleeves are used to fill the empty space in the conduit opening. The sealing is finished by applying a layer of FIWA putty at each side of the conduit.

For pipe sizes up to 44 mm insert sleeves are available in a length of 80 mm with the required wall thickness of 10 mm as an alternative for wrapping the strips around these pipes.
With RISE no pre-engineering is needed, no special conduit frames have to be used, a minimum number of components is needed, there are no restrictions on pipe types and sizes ánd the system is capable of withstanding mechanical loads.
Plastic pipe
The RISE system can be used for plastic pipes which pass through walls, floors and ceilings.
These pipes are a potential source of fuel and a serious hazard in case of fire. PVC/PE/PP pipes start to soften at a temperature of about 75°C and ignite at a temperature of about 140°C.
For this purpose a combination of RISE strips and sleeves are used in the same way as for the RISE pipe penetrations for metallic pipes. When exposed to temperatures above 200°C or flames, this rubber mass will expand vigorously with such a force that the plastic pipe will be crushed.
RISE is certified for plastic pipes up to 160 mm OD.
For plastic pipes larger than 160 mm up to 225 mm the CSD crusher plug is to be used.
Multi mix
The RISE sealing system can also be used for a combination of metallic ánd plastic pipes which pass through fire-rated walls, floors and decks. The RISE multi-plastic/steel pipe sealing system is successfully tested for use in A-60 class bulkheads and decks.

RISE multi-mix enables a most compact penetration carrying a combination of plastic and steel/stainless pipes.
The plastic pipes are wrapped in the usual way with FRR/EHF strips in a thickness of ¼ x D of the plastic pipes (25 mm) and the steel/stainless steel pipes are separated with filler sleeves 25 mm from each other.
